Inside a cave in Virginia, a woman fell almost 100 feet and died on Friday afternoon.

The Giles County Emergency Services said in a press release that the Giles County Sheriff’s Office got a 9-1-1 call about 4:15 p.m. about a woman who dropped about 100 feet inside a cave in the Staffordsville Community near Pearisburg.

The press release said that the area was responded to by Giles County Sheriff’s deputies, the Pearisburg Fire Department, the Giles Rescue Squad, the Celco Emergency Response team, and the Blacksburg Rescue Squad’s Technical Rescue Cave team.

Inside the cave, rescue personnel discovered a woman’s body and retrieved it.

CNN identified the woman as Autumn Nicole Draper, 38, of Fairlawn, Virginia.
