Houston police reported that a man died in a shooting that might have been caused by road rage on Tuesday night in northeast Houston. The shooting happened near the Mesa exit on the Sam Houston Parkway and Old Humble Road.

Police said that around 9 p.m., they heard reports of shots exchanged between two cars that were heading eastbound on Beltway 8. “There was a vehicle with an adult male in it.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two Good Samaritans stopped and tried to revive the victim with CPR, but it didn’t work,” Houston Police Department Lt. Larry Crowson said. Police are not sure if the shooting was a case of road rage or a targeted attack.

They are looking for surveillance video to assist them in identifying the suspect or the vehicle.
