A 22-year-old woman was murdered on Christmas Eve and a teenage boy appeared in court for the crime.

Kacey Clarke was stabbed in a house in Bermondsey, south-east London, on Sunday December 24 2023.

The boy, 16, who cannot be identified, was arrested soon after and charged with murder at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

The hearing was brief and the boy was sent to youth detention until his trial on July 15.

Metropolitan Police officers arrived at Spenlow House, in Jamaica Road, shortly after 10pm.

Ms Clarke’s death was caused by a single, sharp-force trauma to the chest, a post-mortem examination found.
