A 14-year-old California boy who killed his parents and injured his sister badly was arrested by police.

Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni updated the public on Friday on the double homicide that took place on Wednesday night in Fresno County. The sheriff said the boy also tried to kill his 11-year-old sister, who was badly hurt, and his brother was not harmed. The parents were identified as 37-year-old Lue Yang and 37-year-old Se Vang.

Zanoni said the boy is a juvenile and his name will not be given. Police said the boy told 911 that night that an intruder was the killer and left in a pickup, but detectives figured out that was a lie.

The sheriff said the boy had multiple weapons that he used to kill his parents and hurt his sister.
