Sunny S. Mazurek, a 32-year-old Racine man, faces 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, as well as charges of Possession of THC-Repeat Drug Offender and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children division of the Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted an investigation on Mazurek and obtained a search warrant for his residence in the 1500 block of Lincoln St.

On November 28, 2023, Sheriff’s Investigators and Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations executed the search warrant and seized several electronic devices from Mazurek’s home. A forensic analysis of the devices revealed numerous images and videos of Child Sexual Abuse Material. The investigators arrested Mazurek and interrogated him about the material, but he denied any involvement in the uploading or downloading of child pornography.

Mazurek is currently in custody at the Racine County Jail with a $505,100 bail
