Jason Oppenheim confessed his feelings for his ex and Selling Sunset costar Chrishell Stause, but he didn’t really have a say in the matter.

During the season 7 reunion episode on Wednesday, Oppenheim, 46, was caught off guard when host Tan France asked him, “Are you still in love with Chrishell?” To make things even more awkward, the Oppenheim Group president was connected to a lie detector test when the tricky question was asked.

Despite a convincing no, the lie detector said otherwise. A slightly embarrassed Stause hid her face with a hand.

The romance between Stause and Oppenheim was revealed in July 2021 when the star of A Rose for Her Grave shared a picture on Instagram of Oppenheim planting a kiss on her neck during their trip to Italy.

Oppenheim later told PEOPLE exclusively that he and Stause were in a happy relationship and that he had deep feelings for her.

The couple called it quits in December 2021 after dating for less than a year and shared their reasons for the breakup on Instagram. They both said that they had different desires about having a family and that this was the main cause of their separation.

Oppenheim said in his post that he and Stause still respected each other despite their different wants regarding a family.

Stause, on the other hand, deleted her post later, but not before saying that men had more time than women to start a family and that this was the reality. She also said that she was doing her best to deal with the public scrutiny and that she hoped to have a family someday and made her decisions with that goal in mind.
