Following a probe into his illegal conduct, an Oklahoma cop was taken into custody on a drug charge.

Jail records show that Officer Gary Moore, 50, faced one count of possession with intent to distribute.

The Shawnee Police Department collaborated with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office to look into Moore’s criminal activity, according to a press release from the Shawnee Police Department.

The release also states that Moore was fired from his job at the Shawnee Police Department.

The police department did not disclose the duration of Moore’s involvement in the alleged crime or whether there will be more arrests related to the case.

“The Shawnee Police Department expects officers to follow a high standard of ethics and morality that matches the rule of law they are sworn to enforce,” the release states.
