Brentwood homeowner wins legal fight with Airbnb renter who stayed for over a year without paying

Aleksandar Jovanovic rented the guest house of his mansion to Elizabeth Hirschhorn more than two years ago on Airbnb. On Friday, police removed her from the property after a lengthy legal dispute.

Jovanovic purchased the house in 1995. He renovated it over the years, and in 2019 chose to rent the guest house on Airbnb

Hirschhorn wanted to stay for six months at first.

But after four months, she and Jovanovic had problems over the guest house repairs, and he let her stay longer than her Airbnb booking.

Court documents say Hirschhorn did not pay rent after April 2022, but she did not leave.

Jovanovic claims she owes him almost $60,000 in rent
