On Tuesday, a former CIA officer, Brian Jeffrey Raymond, 47, pleaded guilty to federal charges of drugging and sexually abusing more than two dozen women in different countries during his overseas assignments.

Raymond confessed in court on Tuesday that he had nearly 500 videos and photos of unconscious and naked women he had drugged over 14 years. The Justice Department said some of the recordings showed him “manipulating and touching” their bodies while they were out.

Raymond worked for the U.S. government at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, the Justice Department said.

He abused women in his “embassy-rented housing” from 2006-2020, the JD said.

The department said in a release on Tuesday that Raymond tried to erase some of the photos and videos when he found out about the criminal investigation.

Raymond agreed to a plea deal with federal prosecutors that will put him in prison for 24 to 30 years and on probation for life. He will also pay restitution to many of the victims the government identified.

Raymond’s sentencing hearings start on Sept. 18, 2024.
