ROME, Nov 3 — Five people have been killed in flooding that has hit Tuscany, the governor of the central Italian region said today.

Heavy overnight rain from Storm Ciaran washed away cars and destroyed bridges in parts of the region.

Tuscany governor Eugenio Giani told Italy’s Rai News television that the death toll had risen to five people from an initial three.
