Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is running for president in 2024, received his first endorsement from a fellow governor on Saturday. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, a Republican, praised DeSantis for his leadership and conservative values at an event in Tulsa.

Stitt said DeSantis was “the right guy to beat Biden for the next eight years” and commended him for his response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Stitt also said DeSantis had a proven track record of delivering results for Florida on the economy, education, and infrastructure.

Stitt added that he was confident that DeSantis could “deliver these same results all across America.” DeSantis thanked Stitt for his support and said they shared a vision of defending states’ rights and individual liberties.

DeSantis also criticized President Joe Biden’s administration for its policies on immigration, energy, and foreign affairs. DeSantis said he was ready to take on Biden and restore America’s greatness.
